FBT Gibbons is a national law firm with nearly 1,500 employees across 25 offices, serving companies operating and investing in the middle market.The intellectual property team needs a practice assistant who can provide comprehensive administrative and practice support in a deadline‑driven environment, ensuring efficient operations and accurate document management for attorneys and paralegals.Job Details Level: Mid‑LevelType: Full‑timeLocation: In‑person – Cincinnati, OH; Columbus, OH; Indianapolis, IN; Newark, NJ; Washington, DCPay: $36–$48 hourlyTeam: Intellectual PropertyTech Stack: USPTO, CPI, PracticeLink, NetDocuments, Microsoft OfficeResponsibilities Assist with preparing, filing, and prosecuting U.S. patent applications electronically with the USPTO.Manage IP docketing deadlines using CPI and other internal resources.Draft patent and trademark documents and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and proper formatting.Maintain electronic files of all correspondence, work product, and domestic and international filings according to department protocols.Coordinate the business intake process, including adversary searches, drafting screening memos, engagement letters, and opening new files.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; core domain knowledge in IP legal practice.3+ years of IP legal practice assistant experience.Highly proficient in Microsoft Office; strong organizational, prioritization, and deadline‑management skills.Excellent communication, grammar, spelling, vocabulary, and legal terminology skills.Ability to learn and apply firm‑specific software programs such as CPI, PracticeLink, and NetDocuments.Proactive, resourceful, client‑focused mindset with strong attention to detail and professional judgment.#J-18808-Ljbffr
