About the role:

CLA is seeking an Investment Banking Analyst to join our growing team. This role works with the Investment Banking team providing support, analysis, and other services to support the execution of mergers & acquisitions (M&A) and other corporate finance engagements for clients. They are also responsible for a wide range of support duties for the Investment Banking teams to successfully execute on all client engagements.

As an Investment Banking Analyst you will be responsible for:

Mergers & Acquisitions: Researches and prepares complex financial models and M&A process documents; conduct detailed and rigorous analysis through trading & transaction comparables and other modeling. Creates draft teaser & M&A offering documents utilizing the complex financial models. Contributes to pitch books and client marketing presentations.

Buyer identification: Assists in the identification of buyers for sell-side clients through in-depth research and analysis. Tracks detailed information related to those buyers, as well as other M&A deal-related information. Assists with the due diligence process to include client site visits to gather data and identification and correct vulnerabilities. Responsible for project vetting and ensuring client acceptance, as well as development and maintenance of the buyer and sell-side client database.

Transactional support: Supports team as needed with aspects of the transaction process, including industry research, company due diligence process, and other detailed research. Conducts multifaceted analyses that help inform terms and structure of transaction.

Logistics Coordination: Tracks information on buyers in Excel and uses other technical programs for financial modeling. Coordinates schedules with external and internal participants, along with logistics for investment banking related events.

Client Support: Provide project management support as needed to Investment Banking team for client pitches. Attends client meetings as needed. Provides research and analysis for various topics as assigned by the MP of Investment Banking to support a wide range of client engagements.

What you will need:

No experience required
Prior internship in investment banking, corporate development, or private equity preferred

Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Management, and/or Accounting or related field preferred.

Our approach to compensation emphasizes collaboration and career growth. We pay competitive wages and view compensation as an investment in our people. Factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and knowledge may impact position of pay within the range. These same factors may cause starting pay to be below or above the posted range.

The compensation range for this position in Washington is: $68,000 - $136,000

This role is eligible for discretionary bonuses based on company performance and other factors.
