VERSANT (Nasdaq: VSNT) is an industry-changing media and entertainment business and home to trusted brands that shape culture, inform audiences, and build lasting connections. It operates across four core markets: political news and opinion, business news and personal finance, golf, and sports and genre entertainment. These markets are served through a powerful portfolio of iconic and innovative brands, including CNBC, MS NOW, USA Network, Golf Channel, Oxygen, E!, SYFY, and Versant''s sports division USA Sports, along with complementary digital assets including Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow and GolfPass.
CNBC is looking for an exceptional investing journalist to lead our signature evening newsletter for retail investors-a must-read daily briefing designed to help readers understand what happened in the markets, what it means for their portfolios, and what to watch before the next trading day.
Published after the closing bell, the newsletter will go beyond recapping the day''s headlines. It will deliver sharp analysis that connects the dots across markets, companies, sectors and the economy, helping readers understand why stocks moved, which developments matter most to investors, and where opportunities and risks may be emerging. It will also curate the best of CNBC by highlighting key insights from the network''s reporting while previewing the day''s most important interviews, analysis and live programming.
The ideal candidate is equal parts reporter, analyst and storyteller. They should have a deep understanding of investing and financial markets, a strong command of newsletter writing, and the ability to transform a fast-moving news cycle into an engaging, indispensable read. They know how to extract the signal from the noise, identify the day''s most important investing lessons, and anticipate the events most likely to shape markets tomorrow.
Success in this role requires close collaboration across CNBC''s newsroom. The Lead Investing Newsletter Writer/Reporter will work closely with CNBC''s markets, economics, technology, politics, television, digital video and social teams to ensure readers receive the strongest reporting and the clearest investing insights from across the organization.
