Distinguishing Characteristics: This class differs from the Investigator IV in that the Investigator V conducts investigations of the most complex, confidential and diverse cases including those dealing with government officers and employees, organized crimes and career criminals; whereas the Investigator IV independently conducts complete investigations of felony and misdemeanor cases being considered and/or readied for prosecution.
