The Inventory Specialist is responsible for overseeing all inventory operations for a plumbing service operation. This role ensures accurate tracking, purchasing, receiving, and distribution of materials, tools, and equipment using Service Titan and Sage systems. The Inventory Specialist will maintain optimal stock levels, minimize shrinkage, and support field technicians with timely and accurate inventory fulfillment.Key Responsibilities Inventory Management Maintain accurate inventory levels across warehouse and service vehiclesMonitor stock usage trends and place orders accordinglyPerform regular cycle counts and full physical inventory auditsInvestigate and resolve inventory discrepanciesMaintain proper min/max levels and reorder pointsEnsure accurate item setup, pricing, and cost tracking in Service TitanMaintain synchronization between Service Titan and SageProcess purchase orders, receipts, and vendor invoices in SageGenerate and analyze inventory and usage reportsEnsure proper job costing and material allocationTransactions for purchase orders, receiptsSource and negotiate with suppliers for best pricing and availabilityCreate and manage purchase ordersTrack shipments and resolve vendor discrepanciesMaintain strong vendor relationshipsWarehouse Operations & Team Leadership Establish and enforce warehouse procedures and safety standardsEnsure proper organization, labeling, and storage of materialsCoordinate daily material staging for service calls and installationsImprove workflow efficiency and warehouse layoutField Support Coordinate with service managers and technicians to ensure truck stock accuracyImplement and manage truck restocking proceduresSupport emergency material requestsQualifications 3+ years of inventory or warehouse management experience (plumbing/HVAC industry preferred)Experience with Service Titan and/or Sage preferredStrong understanding of job costing and inventory accounting principlesProficiency in Excel and inventory reportingStrong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to lift up to 50 lbs. and work in a warehouse environmentAnalytical thinkingLeadership and team developmentAccountability and ownershipPerformance Metrics Inventory accuracy rateOn-time material availability for techniciansWarehouse organization and safety compliancePurchase cost control and margin protection#J-18808-Ljbffr
