We are seeking a dynamic Consulting Inventory Specialist to join our Warehouse Operations team. This role is critical in ensuring that our inventory is accurate, organized, and efficient. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to excellence. This position offers a unique blend of strategic planning and hands-on work, making it an ideal opportunity for those who enjoy a dynamic and challenging work environment.

Responsibilities:

As a Consulting Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for:

1. Managing and maintaining accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
2. Coordinating and conducting physical inventory counts and reconciliations.
3. Implementing and maintaining inventory control systems and procedures to ensure optimal inventory levels.
4. Identifying and resolving discrepancies in inventory records and reporting any irregularities.
5. Collaborating with warehouse staff to ensure that all received and shipped inventory is accounted for and properly recorded.
6. Providing guidance and training to warehouse staff on best practices for managing and tracking inventory.
7. Assisting in the development and implementation of warehouse safety protocols.
8. Utilizing lifting equipment to handle heavy inventory when necessary.
9. Working closely with the warehouse operations team to optimize space utilization and improve efficiency.
10. Providing consultative advice to management on ways to improve warehouse operations and inventory management.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse operations, specifically in inventory control and management.
2. Proven experience in using warehouse management systems and other inventory control software.
3. Experience in shipping and receiving procedures.
4. Proficiency in using lifting equipment and adhering to safety protocols.
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and solve problems.
6. Excellent organizational and time management skills.
7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
9. Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical work as needed.
10. A commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
