Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM

Purpose Statement/Position Summary: The Inventory Specialist III at Children's Hospital Los Angeles drives process improvement and oversees supply chain operations, emphasizing cost savings, compliance, and efficiency. This role mentors staff, analyzes supply data, and leads projects to optimize inventory control. By collaborating with clinical, supply chain, and leadership teams, the position ensures inventory integrity and regulatory readiness. The Inventory Specialist III promotes collaboration, accountability, and operational excellence across perioperative and distribution areas through effective communication and training.

Minimum Qualifications/Work Experience:

Required:

  • 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain, preferably in healthcare or clinical settings.
  • In-depth knowledge of medical and surgical supplies, inventory control, preference card, and case cart management.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with sourcing, procurement, clinical end-users, and vendors to resolve supply discrepancies and ensure uninterrupted supply chains.
  • Strong expertise in inventory management software, ERP systems, barcode scanning, and specialized healthcare supply chain platforms.
  • Analytical skills to interpret complex supply chain data, generate Data driven reports, and support continuous operational improvements.
  • Considerable, standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching.
  • Proficient in the safe operation and handling of manual and electric pallet jacks, dollies, and other warehouse transportation equipment.
  • Experienced in moving, loading, and unloading materials efficiently while adhering to safety protocols
  • Ability to lift and transport supplies up to 60 pounds as needed.
  • Knowledgeable of equipment maintenance procedures and able to perform basic inspections before use.

Education/Licensure/Certification:

Required:

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or a related field; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

Preferred:

  • Relevant certificate programs or continuing education in healthcare supply chain and operations management.

Pay Scale Information

$46,592.00-$76,544.00
