Inventory Specialist

Location: Belen, NM

Pay Rate: Up to $20 / hour

The Inventory Control position is responsible for supporting internal customer needs through accurate inventory management and product handling. This role includes maintaining inventory accuracy, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring timely and accurate shipment of goods in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Operates forklift, pallet jacks and other associated warehouse equipment.
  • Conveys materials and items from production, warehouse, staging, or shipping areas as directed.
  • Marks materials with identifying information and labels for all products.
  • Uses handheld bar code scanner to track inventory.
  • Opens cartons, bales, crates, and other containers and ensures shipments are undamaged, noting any discrepancies.
  • Performs area housekeeping duties including trash removal, sweeping, and organizing work areas.
  • Abides by all safety rules and regulations.
  • Learns and utilizes SAP system transactions related to inventory control functions.
  • Supports inventory accuracy through proper documentation and system updates.
  • Completes mezzanine tasks and other warehouse-related duties as assigned.
  • Maintains flexibility to work alternate shifts based on business needs.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to read and understand SOPs and various work instructions.
  • 2+ years of experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively under supervision.
  • Effective communication skills with fluency in English required.
  • Ability to work in a physically active environment and maintain organization of materials.
