General Definition of Work

The Inventory Quality Analyst, under general supervision, performs support work with minimal decision-making discretion implementing a quality assurance program for district warehouses. Position conducts statistical tests and analyzes data to ensure quality measures meet district requirements. Employee performs district-level work to carry out Board of Education policies under the direction of the Inventory Operations Manager.

Place of Work

The normal place of work is on the premises used by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. Charlotte- Mecklenburg Schools reserves the right to require you to work at such other place(s) as it may reasonably require from time to time.

Essential Functions

  • Adhere to all state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures
  • Conduct statistically relevant sample tests on daily stock counts to ensure the number of items received have been properly recorded; report results to Manager
  • Analyze trends indicated by survey results and recommend actions to increase the reliability of inventory systems and to resolve errors
  • Coordinate inventory quality control inspections
  • Maintain historical files of discrepancies in such a manner that previous problems can be retrieved, compiled, organized and analyzed to determine trends
  • Prepare, review, and analyze reports to identify and recommend solutions to inaccuracies
  • Collaborate with warehouse personnel to identify, research and resolve inventory discrepancies regarding over-shipments or under-shipments to schools/departments
  • Participate in special projects and continuous improvements initiatives as needed
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other process documentation for the department
  • Perform related work as assigned or required
