The Inventory and Purchasing Lead <\/span><\/span>

This is critical role in ensuring the efficient and cost -effective procurement of goods and materials to support the company's operations. <\/span><\/span><\/span>

This position oversees all aspects of inventory, from forecasting and ordering supplies to maintaining accurate records and optimizing inventory levels. <\/span><\/span><\/span>

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of purchasing principles, supply chain management, and inventory control techniques. <\/span><\/span><\/span>

They will also have excellent communication and negotiation skills to establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers.<\/span><\/span><\/span>

Responsibilities:<\/span><\/b>

  • Develop and implement inventory control strategies to minimize costs and optimize stock levels.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Forecast inventory needs based on sales projections,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>production schedules,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>and market trends.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Identify and qualify potential suppliers,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>negotiate contracts,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>and manage supplier relationships.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Issue purchase orders,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>track deliveries,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>and ensure timely receipt of goods and materials.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile discrepancies.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Conduct periodic inventory audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>improve purchasing efficiency,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>and reduce costs.<\/span><\/span>

  • Implement inventory management software and train staff on its use.<\/span><\/span>
    <\/span><\/li>
  • Supervise inventory control staff and provide guidance on inventory management practices.<\/span><\/span>

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in inventory management and purchasing.<\/span><\/span>

    Requirements<\/h3>
    • Associates degree in Supply Chain Management, <\/span>or Verifiable On The Job Experience<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • 5+ years of experience in inventory management and purchasing.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Proven ability to develop and implement inventory control strategies to minimize costs and optimize stock levels.<\/span><\/span>
      <\/span><\/li>
    • Experience with forecasting inventory needs,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>identifying and qualifying suppliers,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>negotiating contracts,<\/span> <\/span><\/span>and managing supplier relationships.<\/span><\/span>

    • Strong proficiency in inventory management software and systems.<\/span><\/span>
