As our Inventory Coordinator, you''ll oversee a complex inventory of 5,000+ parts, materials, and components while helping manage a 5-acre equipment yard. You''ll be the central link between operations, procurement, warehouse teams, and logistics partners, ensuring seamless material flow, accurate inventory control, and efficient equipment tracking.
What You'll Do:
- Maintain accurate inventory records for approximately 5,000 parts, components, materials, and transformer accessories.
- Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming materials and equipment.
- Track inventory movements between warehouse, shop floor, and outdoor storage areas.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Ensure inventory transactions are accurately documented within the company''s inventory management system.
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of shortages, excess stock, or obsolete materials.
- Follow all company safety procedures and applicable regulations.
- Assist in maintaining safe traffic flow and equipment movement throughout the yard and facility.
- Ensure proper use of forklifts, cranes, and material handling equipment when applicable.
- Maintain organized work areas and support continuous improvement initiatives.
The Experience We're Looking For:
- 1-3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or yard management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, or yard management preferred.
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Additional Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver''s license.
- Must successfully complete a background check and pre-employment/random drug tests
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and enduring extended physical activity
