Job Details

The Inventory Control Supervisor oversees inventory accuracy, freshness, and compliance within a fast-paced seafood distribution and manufacturing environment. This role leads the inventory team and partners cross-functionally to maintain optimal stock levels, minimize waste, and ensure efficient operations across cold storage and distribution.

This position will be fully on-site.

Job Requirements:
  • Inventory Management & Accuracy – Oversee daily cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation across fresh, frozen, and live seafood products, ensuring accurate stock levels in WMS/ERP systems
  • Perishable Inventory Control (FIFO/FEFO) – Maintain product freshness by enforcing FIFO/FEFO processes, minimizing spoilage, and ensuring full traceability and compliance standards
  • Cold Chain Operations – Manage inventory within refrigerated and frozen environments, monitoring temperature logs and maintaining cold chain integrity for all seafood products
  • Warehouse Coordination & Product Flow – Support inbound receiving and outbound distribution, optimizing product movement from dock to shipment while reducing dwell time for perishable goods
  • Quality & Compliance Oversight – Partner with QA to manage non-conforming products, ensure proper labeling and documentation, and maintain compliance with FDA, HACCP, USDA, FSMA, and SQF standards
  • Team Leadership & Training – Supervise and develop inventory staff, providing training on procedures, safety, WMS systems, and best practices to ensure accuracy and accountability
  • Logistics & Order Fulfillment Support – Collaborate with logistics teams to ensure accurate picking, loading, and shipping while managing inventory allocation and order prioritization
  • Reporting & Continuous Improvement – Track KPIs, analyze inventory performance (variances, aging, turnover), support audits, and drive process improvements to reduce costs and improve efficiency

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years' experience working in manufacturing as a Supervisor or a similar role
  • Associate degree acceptable w/minimum combination of education and 3+ years of similar work experience.
  • Bilingual Spanish language skills required
  • Experience working in an FDA and Lean Sigma (DMAIC) regulated environment
  • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, JIT tools and/or best manufacturing practices.
