The Inventory Control Specialist (Distribution Center)completes warehouse activities to manage and improve inventory accuracy, job quality, and customer satisfaction. These duties include but are not limited to Cycle, quality and accuracy of physical inventory storage, quarantine or other segregation of inventory, return-to-vendor processing, and product/bin labeling, zoning, and slotting. The Inventory Control Specialist (Distribution Center) is responsible for inventory variances in the Distribution Center and will interact daily with supervisors and managers to correct gaps in inventory process or storage. This position requires long periods of standing and lifting, as well as the proper use of a Microsoft warehouse management system. We offer:Health benefits with quick enrollment - medical, dental, and vision.Paid time off & holiday pay.Wellness Program.Professional development & career advancement opportunities.Incentive program.Lots of perks!Compensation Information:$24.50/hrResponsibilities:Responsible for the timely completion of all inventory management processes including:Daily and monthly cycle counts and auditsInventory maintenance: Aged Inventory, In-Transit bins, Installer bins, and AdjustmentsDaily audits of all physical locations/bins to ensure inventory is in the proper condition and located in the correct binsCompletion of all assigned counts for Quarterly and Annual Physical InventoryAccurate counts of all "Equipment" and "Sample boards"Partner with Distribution Center and Market leaders to identify and correct inventory inaccuracies, including writing and completing corrective action plansImprove the accuracy of inventory storageDecrease the average time to resolve inventory accuracy issues such as:Timely reconciling of inventory reportsIdentifying or acting on product quality issuesSupport the training of new and existing employees on all inventory control processes:EOS Process adherencePhysical storage standardsIssue resolution, to include the proper steps to correct system and physical countsReview EOS reports to identify issues/opportunities with inventory accuracy, variances, or aging.Support installation warehouses in the Distribution Center network with their local inventory management effortsServe as the local leader for all physical inventoriesActively implement all safety policies to create a strong safety cultureAdhere to all posted Federal and State requirements, and all Company safety and operational policies and SOPs.Additional responsibilities as assigned or requiredQualifications:High School Diploma/GED requiredComputer skills (D365, Tableau, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,)Strong oral and written communication skillsDetail orientedExcellent organizational skillsAbility to multi-task; strong analytical skillsAbility to work independently; and ability to set priorities, solve problems, and meet deadlinesSelf-starter, action-oriented, problem-resolution-focused approach and personalityAbility to work a variety of shifts including weekends if necessaryAbility to operate a forklift, scissor lift, and other equipment as necessaryAssociate will spend time working on a computer which requires using a keyboard to enter data and send and respond to emails.This position requires the ability to use an RF device to input and receive dataThis position requires the ability to use a phone and write with a pen or pencilThe ability to physically and mentally perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodationRoutinely lift, carry, push, and pull flooring materials weighing up to 75 pounds.Ability to move throughout the warehouseOperate a forklift and move product with equipment or manuallyThis position requires the capability to work a variety of different hours throughout the dayThe ability to report to work on a regular basisWhy Empire Today?We empower our employees to strive for their unique goals.Within such an inclusive company with unlimited growth opportunities, how far you go is up to you.We take care of our people.We start investing in you from day one.
