Parts & Equipment Coordinator / Inventory Control Specialist
We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Parts & Equipment Coordinator to support daily maintenance and repair operations within a fast-paced transportation or industrial environment.
This position is responsible for managing inventory, coordinating parts and equipment needs, maintaining accurate records, and supporting mechanics, technicians, and operational staff with timely parts distribution and inventory control.
The ideal candidate will have experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or parts coordination and be comfortable working independently while supporting a collaborative team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain parts, tools, equipment, and supply inventories
Receive, label, organize, issue, and store inventory accurately
Monitor inventory levels and perform cycle counts
Research and order parts as needed, including OEM part lookups
Maintain work orders, purchase orders, and inventory records
Support maintenance personnel with daily parts and equipment needs
Identify and report out-of-stock, obsolete, or overstock inventory items
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse/work environment
Assist with warehousing, equipment inspections, and inventory processes
Utilize inventory systems and Microsoft Office programs for tracking and reporting
Provide professional communication and customer service to internal teams and vendors
Qualifications:
1–5+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, parts coordination, or equipment management* Experience working with inventory systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
Forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain certification
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and work overtime or Saturdays as needed Preferred
Background:
Transportation, trucking, fleet maintenance, industrial, manufacturing, or heavy equipment environment experience* Knowledge of parts sourcing, work orders, and inventory procedures* Experience supporting mechanics or maintenance departments is a plus
