JOB SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for organizing and maintaining the stored inventory in a neat and orderly manner keeping the stock at a level that will assure adequate supplies are available at all times. The Inventory Control Clerk reports directly to the Director of Materials Management. QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School graduate or equivalent certification. Licensure/Certification: Missouri Class “E” Chauffer’s Driver’s License. Work Experience: One or more years of experience in inventory management is preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES: Receives incoming freight and maintains all pertinent documentation of the receiving. Alerts Purchasing Assistants Buyers to stock outs and materials for reorder. Rotates stock. Delivers supplies to Hospital Departments, and entering in charges for Nursing Departments. Fills requisitions for stock items. Assists with the Semi-Annual Physical Inventory process. Responds to calls to deliver supplies in emergency situations. Works with Nursing and other departments to determine proper levels of supplies needed. Serves as backup hospital courier and mail room clerk as needed. Other duties as assigned. REQUIRED STAFF COMPETENCIES: Demonstrates support for organizational and departmental mission.
