Inventory Control Associate

Location: Concord, NC (Onsite)
Duration: 5 Months

Training Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:30 AM 5:00 PM
Regular Schedule: Monday Friday, 3:00 PM 11:30 PM
Overtime: Up to 5 hours per week as needed

Job Summary

We are seeking an Inventory Control Associate to support warehouse inventory accuracy, returns processing, and driver check-in operations. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, processing returned products, verifying delivery documentation, and ensuring efficient inventory control within a cooler and freezer warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Check in drivers returning from delivery routes and verify returned products, invoices, pallets, totes, and other company assets.
  • Review delivery paperwork and document missed deliveries, exceptions, and returns.
  • Process returned products and determine appropriate disposition, restocking eligibility, and credits.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and enter inventory transactions in a timely manner.
  • Count, stage, and reconcile returned products and inventory discrepancies.
  • Identify and communicate inventory issues that may impact operations or customer service.
  • Process claims, credits, holds, physical inventories, and storage-related transactions.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and inventory control procedures.

Required Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of pallet jack and/or forklift experience.
  • Strong inventory control, reconciliation, and recordkeeping skills.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with warehouse inventory systems and inventory reconciliation.
  • Experience in returns processing, logistics, distribution, or warehouse operations.
