Job Title: Inventory Associate
C-shift, Friday to Monday 6AM-6:30 PM
Location: Orlando, FL
Type: Contract / On-Site

Responsibilities

  • Continuous improvement: evaluate/monitor/escalate a roadblock identified while working in a role that can cause a defect downstream; support a root cause analysis and provide details with problem solving skills.
  • Proper use of equipment: demonstrate fundamental knowledge and skills in operating heavy equipment, primarily PIT equipment/forklifts, including understanding operational mechanics, safety procedures, and maintenance practices.
  • Operate equipment to move heavy parts/material throughout the facilities, including but not limited to electronic pallet jacks (EPJs), forklifts, reach-trucks, and turret-trucks.
  • Receive shipments: unload shipments delivered by carriers.
  • Inspect shipments: visually examine packages arriving at the Fulfillment Center and determine if it is acceptable according to a standard operating procedure.
  • Perform quality control checks: review requirements for each part number and process accordingly to the standard operating procedure.
  • Document receipts: use tools and equipment to systematically upload, store, and follow standard operating procedures to completely close out a receipt or work order.
  • Data entry: navigate and select fields within an inventory management tool to input data directly coming from the physical delivery of a part; navigate through modules and read information as needed for specific fulfillment tasks.
  • Packaging: identify what type of packaging is needed for parts; properly wrap/store parts with packaging at any stage of the Fulfillment/Manufacturing workflow.
  • Sorting and staging: move packages/boxes/crates/any storage container while it is identified and secure to prevent loss within the workflow.
  • Labeling and marking: ensure all parts are part labeled and have identifiers outlined in the standard operating procedure to analyze parts through the workflow.
  • Storage assignment/auditing: properly store and use good judgement along with the standard operating procedure for storage of parts that could be individual or in bulk; audit per a standard operating procedure.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of Fulfillment Center Operations experience, including an industry with receiving and inventory functions.
  • Strict adherence to established safety protocols and guidelines, including wearing appropriate PPE, following safe operating procedures, and participating in regular safety training sessions.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • World-class quality mindset, attention to detail, and dedication.
  • Communication skills within a highly technical environment.
  • Mathematical/analytical skills to define problems, collect appropriate and relevant data, establish facts, and draw reasonable conclusions from gathered information.
  • Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • Previous certified forklift experience.
  • Warehouse/Receiving/Inventory experience in the aerospace or automotive industry (Desired).
