Inventory and Purchasing Specialist


We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory and Purchasing Specialist to support the daily operations of a fast-paced organization serving projects throughout Middle Tennessee. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys organization, inventory accuracy, vendor coordination, and ensuring materials are available when teams need them. This role is fully onsite.


The successful candidate will play a key role in managing inventory levels, processing purchase orders, maintaining accurate records, and collaborating with operations teams to support project success.


Salary $50,000 - $60,000 annually, depending on experience


Responsibilities of the Inventory and Purchasing Specialist



  • Create, process, and track purchase orders from requisition through receipt

  • Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate inventory records

  • Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and order discrepancies

  • Receive and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders

  • Reconcile inventory transactions and investigate variances


Qualifications of the Inventory and Purchasing Specialist



  • 2+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, procurement, supply chain, or a related role

  • Experience processing purchase orders and managing vendor relationships

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree preferred

  • Knowledge of inventory cycle counts and inventory reconciliation processes

  • Familiarity with ERP, purchasing, or warehouse management systems
