Sapphire Recruitment is seeking an Inventory and Forklift Specialist to join a premier manufacturing team in Oriskany, NY. In this role, you are the backbone of the shipping department, ensuring order pickers have exactly what they need to maintain production flow. Key Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Proactively restock picking areas to ensure shipping teams maintain maximum efficiency.
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate Class 1 and Class 2 Industrial Forklifts to retrieve pallets and store finished goods.
- Digital Tracking: Utilize RF scanners to record all inventory movements, ensuring 100% data accuracy.
- Order Fulfillment: Assemble bulk sales orders and assist with pallet wrapping and outgoing shipment loading.
- Warehouse Oversight: Assist with physical inventory counts, error reconciliation, and maintaining a clean, organized warehouse floor.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Experience: Previous warehouse or material handling experience is preferred.
- Certifications: Ability to obtain and maintain Class 1 and/or Class 2 Industrial Forklift certification (on-site training provided).
- Technical Skills: Basic math and computer proficiency; ability to read and write English for inventory documentation and RF scanner use.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for the duration of a 10-hour shift and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Reliability: Dependable attendance is critical to meeting daily production and shipping goals.
