Summary:
The main function of an inventory analyst is to coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments of an establishment according to the production schedule. A typical inventory analyst is responsible for reviewing and distributing production, work, and shipment schedules and compiling reports on inventory levels, costs, etc.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Examine documents, materials, and products, and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformation to standards and specifications.
  • Review documents such as production schedules, work orders, and staffing tables to determine personnel and materials requirements, and material priorities.
  • Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.
  • Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
  • Perform functions necessary to reconcile all inventory discrepancies, including on-hand overages and shortages, supplier discrepancies, operations return issues, receipt discrepancies, shipment errors, and posting receipts.
  • Conduct random and scheduled inventory and receipt audits as directed.
  • Communicate all adjustments and issues to the Supply Chain Management group. Investigate and document Root Cause Corrective Action for discrepancies.
 
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required. A Bachelor’s degree is accepted but must have 2-4 years of experience.
  • 2-4 years of related experience required.
  • Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
  • Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materials.

Pay Transparency: The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $25.00 - $27.00 /hour. Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience. Full-time employees are eligible to select from different benefits packages.
