Position Information

Job Title Intramural Sports Scorekeeper (Fall 2026) Department Campus Recreation Office Job Description/Duties

Although we are currently accepting applications, the majority of our candidate review and interviews/hiring will not be conducted until we return to campus in September of 2026.

These positions are for applicants who have an interest in scorekeeping for intramural sports contests and events. Sports assigned to scorekeep for include: basketball, football, pickleball, and soccer. Employees are allowed to participate in all intramural sports. Attendance at monthly staff meetings and training sessions is mandatory. First year students and current intramural participants are strongly encouraged to apply.

Days/Hours Needed

Applicants should be willing to work approximately 8-10 hours per week. Shifts are 3-5 hours long and are generally scheduled between 6pm-midnight Mondays through Thursdays and 6pm-midnight on Sundays. Must be available for staff training session; date/time TBA.

Campus Location/Bldg.

Assigned shifts may be located in the Student Life Center, the Lusk Field House, Park Center, the Stadium Complex, or the grass field adjacent to Park Center.

Required Qualifications

Must be a SUNY Cortland Student

Preferred Qualifications

Excellent communication skills and a flexible schedule desired. Previous experience scorekeeping is a plus, but is not required for employment.
