Interventional Radiologic Technologist

Location: Syracuse, New York (NY)
Duration: 13 Weeks

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiologic Technologist to join a dynamic imaging team. The technologist will perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, image quality, and compliance with radiation protection standards.

Schedule

  • Day Shift
  • 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Rotating weekends and holidays
  • On-call coverage required (approximately 2–4 days per month)
  • Overtime may be required based on departmental needs

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology (A.A.S.) or equivalent
  • Active New York State Radiologic Technologist License/Registration
  • Minimum 1 year of CT and/or MRI experience as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Ability to successfully complete pre-employment health clearance requirements

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiographic and interventional imaging examinations as directed by radiologists
  • Prepare, educate, and position patients for procedures
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
  • Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and departmental protocols
  • Document procedures accurately within imaging and hospital information systems
  • Identify and report equipment malfunctions promptly
  • Support physicians and radiologists during interventional procedures
  • Ensure patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction throughout the imaging process

  • Strong knowledge of radiographic principles and imaging procedures
