Ware Junior Senior High School is seeking an Intervention Specialist for Reading & Writing. Applicant should have deep knowledge of the reading processes, acquisition, assessment, and instruction. The responsibilities of the Intervention Specialist is to look at student work, include the use of data to inform instruction, support Reading instruction in classroom implementation, model reading instructional strategies, provide a wide range of supplementary resources and to develop curriculum and materials to align with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Applicant will monitor student progress in reading as demonstrated on DIBELS, Benchmark Assessment System (BAS), and the Measures of Academic Progress (MAP), identify learning problems and provide guidance to assist both teachers and students. The Intervention Specialist will perform complex professional work, providing teaching and/or training services to teachers and students in reading instruction.

COMPENSATION $54,373-$93,870, commensurate with experience
