Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate Simultaneous interpretation remotely (equipment provided) for Automobile Development Center department meetings.
- As an interpreter, it is critical that both your Japanese and English be smooth and easy to understand.
- Although translation is minimum, you are expected to translate documents accurately and quickly, if and when necessary.
Requirements:- Experienced Japanese/English Simultaneous Interpreter (both directions: Japanese to English and English to Japanese).
Education: - 4-year college degree with a few years of experience, or if no college, at least 5 years of interpretation experience.
Additional Details:- Morning shift interpreter for approximately 6 - 8 work hours per day to support meetings scheduled between 6:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. ET, Monday through Friday.
- Actual hours may vary depending on your experience, capabilities, and the meeting schedule.
- Occasionally, you may be asked to support evening meetings.
- Work hours may fluctuate to meet project demands and based on your capabilities; however, the goal is to maintain an average of 30 40 hours per week. If the number of meetings increases, weekly hours may increase accordingly.
