    POSITION TITLE: Internist Physician
     
    REPORTS TO: Director of Medical Services
     
    CLASSIFICATION:  Exempt
     
    Care STL Health is seeking an Internist Physician to join our team. The Internist diagnoses and treats diseases and injuries of human internal organ systems of adult and geriatric patients.
     
    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    The following information is considered the definition of essential functions but does not restrict the tasks that may be assigned. The Internist may be reassigned duties and responsibilities at any time due to reasonable accommodation or other staffing reasons.
     
    • Provides for clinical care including but not limited to acute and chronic medical and health maintenance care of adult and geriatric patients; provides after-hours coverage for urgent health care problems for health center patients on a rotational on-call basis
    • Participates in the health center's Performance Improvement program and assists in the formulation and implementation of the health center's health care plan especially in internal medicine protocols
    • Practices evidence-based medicine and Patient-Centered medicine.
    • Proficient in using electronic health records (here) for Clinical documentation; order and review labs and radiology and clear all the tasks promptly per organizational policies.
    • Maintain the required Medical Licenses, Certifications, and Credentials that are required
     
    JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:

    • MD I DO from an Accredited University
    • Completed ACGME Accredited Residency Training in Internal Medicine
    • Board Eligible or Board Certified as an Internist licensed to practice in the State of Missouri
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • Effective clinical and communication skills
    Transportation Requirement:
    • Must have Reliable Transportation

    Additional Information:

    • Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • 11 paid holidays per year.
