This is primarily a relational selling and customer service role with very limited cold calling.
Location: Tuscaloosa, AL - In-Person
Travel: 25%, 2 weeks at a time
Travel locations: USA, Brasil, Mexico, Argentina, Germany
Start: ASAP
Compensation: Straight salary 80-100K, after 1 year of employment, eligible for profit sharing paid out in November and April. Relocation package included.

Our client is a global leader in insect screen, solar control fabrics, drawn wire, engineered products, and specialty fabrics, the company was founded in 1952 and remains family-owned. An opening is currently available in the Tuscaloosa office for an International Sales Representative (Latin America), requiring fluent Spanish, 25% travel in the region, and full-time, in-person work at corporate headquarters.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Will have expert knowledge of the company’s capabilities and product portfolio
- Will maintain pricing and terms of sales as directed for the assigned sales territory
- Will perform sales activities in compliance with export regulations
- Will provide prompt customer service, including order entry, quotations, sampling, and product support
- Will act as the “voice of the customer” for new product development, improvements, and feedback
- Will respond to customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions, billing corrections, and credits
- Will manage and respond to inquiries via email, website, and phone
- Will prepare monthly sales reports for the assigned territory
- Will plan and travel internationally within the assigned sales territory
- Will be able to travel internationally, including solo trips to multiple countries for up to two weeks as required
- Will plan and attend international trade shows and trade missions
- Will host international customers and prospects for office visits and plant tours
- Will monitor and report competitor activities to management
- Will provide customer and country information to Credit Management
- Will monitor regional and country political and economic risks
- Will translate and/or edit foreign language marketing materials and support website development
