This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional with a strong background in global freight management to join our growing client. As a Global Freight Management Specialist, you will be responsible for driving strategic initiatives to optimize our global freight operations. You will be working closely with our logistics and finance teams to streamline processes, manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure smooth domestic and international shipments.

Responsibilities:

1. Manage all aspects of global freight operations, including ocean, air, and ground shipments.
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with Logistics Service Providers (LSPs) and other vendors to ensure quality service delivery.
3. Lead contract negotiations with vendors to secure the best possible terms and conditions.
4. Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
5. Leverage Transportation Management System (TMS) to optimize freight operations and costs.
6. Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for freight management to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
7. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the performance of freight operations.
8. Manage domestic freight operations, including less-than-truckload (LTL), full-truckload (FTL), parcel, and air shipments.
9. Proactively track shipments and resolve any issues to ensure on-time delivery.
10. Identify opportunities for freight cost optimization and implement strategies to realize these savings.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in global freight management (with Global freight experience)
2. Proven experience in managing LSPs and other vendors.
3. Strong knowledge of international shipping regulations and documentation requirements.
4. Experience in contract negotiation and vendor management.
5. Proficiency in using TMS for managing freight operations.
6. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement SOPs and process improvements.
7. Strong skills in KPI tracking and reporting.
8. Experience in managing domestic freight operations, including LTL, FTL, parcel, and air shipments.
9. Proven ability to proactively track shipments and resolve issues.
10. Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset to identify opportunities for cost optimization.
