About the role:
The Global Agent Development Rep will be instrumental in the growth and development of the Asia-Pacific Trade Lanes for TQL Global. The role will help establish, grow, and manage the international agent network for TQL Global. This includes setting up international freight forwarding agents, maintaining foreign relationships, managing the quoting process, and collaborating with the sales and operations to ensure all processes and documents are in place.

What you'll be doing:
- Identify and set up international trade agents for TQL Global to support global trade
- Working with our Compliance team to vet agents to ensure compliance with the Federal Maritime Commission
- Maintaining and growing strong relationships with our foreign agent network by being the dedicated TQL Global point-of-contact - this requires the ability to work outside of normal business hours to account for time zone differences
- Proactively providing available booking opportunities to TQL Account Reps and the International Operations Team
- Managing all appropriate documentation in our transportation management systems for billing and audit purposes
- Supporting operational functions as needed for TQL freight handled by our agents
- Create and distribute market update to support global trade initiatives
- Act as a primary escalation contact for issue resolution related to agents and global trade
- Work closely with pricing, sales, operations, contracts, claims, credit teams
What you need:
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Prior experience in international freight forwarding preferred
- Ability to work outside of standard business hours
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and being on the phone with internal and external customers
- Comfortable working with multiple computer systems and the Microsoft Suite
- Self-starter with strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proven track record of exceptional customer service or team-player skills
- Strong communication skills
- Global cultural understanding
