- Duration: Ongoing assignment
- Shift: Day shifts, Monday - Friday, 9-hour shifts with 1-hour lunch (8 billable hours), plus 15-hour overnight call shifts; weekend call 24 hours
- Hours/Week: Approximately 40 hours
- Employment Type: Contract/Locum
- License/Certs: Michigan State Medical License, Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology, ERCP certification preferred
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of GI clinical experience; proficient in endoscopic procedures including ERCP, EUS, EGD, Colonoscopy, and other GI procedures

What You’ll Do- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic GI procedures including ERCP, EUS, EGD, colonoscopies, pH studies, manometry, sigmoidoscopy, PEG/PEJ placements, and capsule endoscopy
- Manage an average of 12 patients per day in a well-established endoscopy unit
- Review pathology and coordinate patient follow-up with nursing staff
- Document all procedures and work thoroughly without a scribe, ensuring accurate charting and work completion
- Communicate effectively with staff regarding patient results, follow-up recommendations, and procedure outcomes
- Provide complete block coverage for scheduled dates
What You Need- Valid Michigan medical license
- Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology
- ERCP and advanced endoscopy experience preferred
- Minimum 2+ years of relevant clinical experience
- Strong proficiency in endoscopic procedures and patient management
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
