Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our team this summer. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in project management within a dynamic and supportive manufacturing environment. The Intern Project Coordinator will assist in planning, organizing, and managing projects from kick-off through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope. It will involve working with our enterprise resource management system and will help to implement our Lean BOM configuration and management practices. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills, a proactive attitude, and a passion for learning about project coordination, ERP/BOMs and team collaboration. Primary Responsibilities: Assist the Operations Project Manager in coordinating change management activities related to product engineering and manufacturing operations. Support the creation, maintenance, and updating of Bills of Materials (BOMs) within the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Production, and Quality, to gather and manage project documentation and information. Help organize and track project timelines, deliverables, and action items to ensure timely completion of project goals. Maintain accurate records of project progress, changes, and outcomes within project tracking tools and ERP systems. Participate in meetings, document meeting notes, and follow up on action items as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of Lean manufacturing practices related to BOM configuration and production workflows. Identify opportunities for process improvement and support initiatives to enhance operational efficiency. Position Qualifications: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, accurate work. Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate effectively across diverse teams. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with project management and/or ERP systems is a plus. Ability to learn quickly and apply new tools, processes, and concepts effectively. Interest in Lean manufacturing principles, change management, and continuous improvement practices. Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to support process enhancements and operational improvements. Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying challenges and proposing solutions. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing as part of a team. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity with sensitive business information. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States. Skills & Experience: Keen sense of urgency with the ability to prioritize. Process and team oriented. Able to act independently as appropriate, seek guidance as needed, determine course of action, and progress work to closure. Working Environment/Physical Activities: This role is on-site, in a Lean Manufacturing environment utilizing equipment and materials, and depends on direct and daily communication with many different personnel from cross-functional teams. Hybrid/remote work is not available for this role. Wages: $20 - $22 per hour Hours: 40/week Summer only
