Summary

Our 10-week internship offers a comprehensive and immersive experience for students interested in gaining practical knowledge and skills in the banking industry. Each week, you will be exposed to different leaders and aspects of the line of business. You will have the opportunity to complete projects that will help you understand the day-to-day operations of a bank and develop a well-rounded skillset. Additionally, you will have the chance to receive guidance from experienced professionals in the field, participate in meetings, and network with other interns and associates. By the end of the program, you will have gained valuable insights, built a solid foundation in banking practices, and potentially set the stage for future career opportunities at First Horizon.

First Horizon is seeking a Brand and Shared Services intern to help support our Head of Brand and Shared Services with two key areas - strengthening the company's market identity (Brand) and improving internal operational efficiency (Shared Services). Focused on development and execution of strategies that enhance brand visibility and resonance. This role bridges the gap between high-level brand positioning and tactical market activation, providing hands-on experience in how a brand communicates its value proposition to a target audience.

Work schedule and number of hours worked per week (minimum: 15 - 25 hours) are flexible, within normal business hours.

The Intern will learn and assist with the day-to-day duties of the Brand and Shared Services members, including:
  • Market Research & Analysis: conduct competitive audits and trend analysis to identify opportunities for brand differentiation
  • Content & Messaging: assist in the creation of message and communication frameworks to ensure brand consistency across all channels
  • Project Support: help manage the 'strategic stack' by aligning daily marketing activities with overarching business objectives
  • Campaign Execution: support the rollout of integrated marketing campaigns, including social media, email marketing and event support
  • Reporting: assist in tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to demonstrate how brand investment influences awareness and favorability
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: work cross-functionally with creative, sales, and product teams to ensure brand standards are maintained

Qualifications
  • Current undergraduate or graduate student in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for creating content and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
