Intermediate Architect

SCB is seeking talented Architects to join our San Francisco office. You will have the opportunity to work with a team of talented professionals on all aspects of project design and development under the direct supervision of a Project Architect and Project Manager. You will also closely collaborate with the project team, including consultants, to prepare design studies, graphic representations, technical drawings, studies, and other materials related to architectural design.Your Qualifications Accredited professional degree in architecture5-15 years post-graduate, full-time working experience in an architectural firmLicensed Architect in the U.S. or actively working to attain licensureA strong design sensibility and attention to detailGood communication and presentation skillsWorking knowledge of, and demonstrated experience with, local zoning ordinances and building codesTechnical knowledge of building systems, material assemblies, and engineering conceptsProficient in Revit, Bluebeam, Newforma and Excel; familiarity with software programs such as Enscape, SketchUp, Rhino, Affinity and Adobe Creative SuiteMulti-family residential, Hospitality, Campus Environments, or Aviation project experience preferredThe Role Implement project design philosophy and work toward the successful execution of the project through design and construction phasesDevelop design and technical drawings, visualizations, and studies in collaboration with project leadersManage time and organize tasks effectively to meet project deadlines, including oversight of junior team membersCollaborate with the project team, including direct coordination with design consultantsParticipate in team meetings and client presentations, working closely with multidisciplinary teamsOversee all aspects of BIM modeling, mentoring and training more junior staff in a constructive and thoughtful mannerResearch and promote opportunities for new or innovative system applications; proactively look for and implement processes to improve work product and efficiency.Demonstrate initiative in problem solving and seek guidance when necessary from team leadershipEngage with the project and studio team with a positive, team-first attitude and willingness to learn and contribute to the project and firm's successWhat We Offer Salary: $85,000 - $125,000 depending on experienceBenefits: We support our teams with competitive, comprehensive benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, disability, paid holidays and time off, and 401K retirement matching.
