We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Interiors Estimator specializing in Drywall & Framing in the Engineering industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for estimating the cost of large-scale interior construction projects, with a particular focus on drywall and metal framing. Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Interiors Estimator, you will be responsible for:

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates of drywall and metal framing construction projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other related documents.
2. Identifying labor, material, and time requirements by studying proposals, blueprints, and related documents.
3. Evaluating the cost-effectiveness of products or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
4. Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
5. Using your expertise in interior, metal frame, framing, drywall, and estimating to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
6. Working with the project management team to develop a comprehensive understanding of project strategy and commitments including financial goals, scheduling, logistics, phasing, milestones, and inspections.
7. Analyzing and understanding market trends, construction processes, and industry best practices to provide the most accurate estimates.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must have:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, specifically in the areas of interior, metal frame, framing, drywall, and estimating.
2. Proficiency in construction estimating software and material estimating.
3. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment, specifically related to wall systems, metal stud, and prefab.
4. Excellent analytical and mathematical abilities to provide accurate estimates.
5. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present cost estimates to clients, stakeholders, and team members in a clear and understandable way.
6. The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
7. A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
