The Role
We’re looking for an Interior Designer to join our in-house design team, playing a key role in shaping the resident experience across our multifamily portfolio. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the team to manage projects from concept through completion, supporting both renovation and new construction work.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a creative, collaborative design studio backed by the stability and resources of a multifamily development organization. Our team serves as an internal partner, creating thoughtful, market-driven spaces that enhance how people live.
If you thrive in a collaborative environment, balance creative vision with technical execution, and enjoy seeing your ideas come to life, this is a chance to make a visible impact.
What you’ll do:
Design renovation projects from schematic through construction
Lead design direction, finish selection, and documentation
Manage project schedules, budgets, and overall execution
Drive FF&E selection, specification, and procurement in partnership with procurement teams
Collaborate with regional teams, corporate partners, and external consultants
Support new development projects alongside design managers
Assist with design process, documentation, FF&E, and construction administration
Review submittals and RFIs and coordinate with field teams during construction
What you need:
Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture
~4–8 years of relevant experience
Strong working knowledge of construction documentation and administration
Experience with FF&E selection, specifications, and procurement
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Enscape, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
What matters for success:
Strong design perspective with an awareness of current trends — brings ideas, not just execution
Ability to manage multiple projects with strong organization and follow-through
Comfortable operating independently while collaborating across teams
Clear, effective communication with internal and external partners
Nice to have:
LEED accreditation
NCIDQ certification
Other:
Some travel required within the U.S.
