Award-winning and highly published Dallas Residential Interior Design firm is seeking a dynamic and detailed Interior Architectural Designer to join their team at the intermediate or senior level. This role is ideal for a design professional with a strong background in high-end residential interiors and a deep understanding of architectural detailing, documentation, and project delivery.

The ideal candidate brings both creative design sensibility and technical rigor, with proven experience working at a top-tier high end residential interior design or high end residential architecture firm in a major city.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and produce comprehensive design development (DD) and construction document (CD) drawing sets
  • Collaborate closely with project teams to translate design intent into detailed, buildable solutions
  • Prepare and coordinate architectural drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and custom millwork details
  • Lead or contribute to fixture, finish, and material specifications, including FF&E schedules and detailed documentation
  • Maintain and organize project specifications
  • Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and contractors to ensure alignment across all phases of the project
  • Support and participate in construction administration, including site visits, RFIs, submittals, and field coordination
  • Ensure design integrity and technical accuracy throughout all project phases

Qualifications

  • 5–10+ years of professional experience for intermediate level; 10+ years for senior level
  • Prior experience at a high-end residential interior design high end residential architecture firm in a major city.
  • Degree in Interior Architecture & Design, Architecture, or a related field (required)
  • Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
  • High proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Rendering proficiency is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge and experience in construction detailing, materials, and building systems
  • Demonstrated experience producing DD and CD sets for luxury residential projects
  • Expertise in specifications, finish schedules, and documentation standards
  • Familiarity with construction administration processes and on-site coordination
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Strong design sensibility with attention to proportion, materiality, and craftsmanship
