Interim Senior Education Director (3 Month Assignment)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Interim Senior Education Director to provide hands on leadership support during a period of transition and growth. This 3 to 4 month assignment will focus on strengthening day to day operations, supporting and mentoring the management team, and ensuring continuity across programs.
This role will work closely with internal leaders to guide, coach, and support managers, while helping the team navigate staffing changes, new center openings, and enrollment goals.

What You’ll Do:
• Provide hands on mentorship and coaching to program managers, supporting leadership development and team effectiveness
• Partner closely with leadership to support day to day program operations across multiple early learning sites
• Lead and support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding efforts, including staffing for new centers and current vacancies
• Support employee retention efforts by guiding managers and strengthening team stability
• Collaborate with leadership on enrollment strategies to help programs reach capacity
• Observe program operations and offer practical, real-time recommendations for improvement
• Serve as a trusted partner to the Executive Director and leadership team, offering guidance on operations, staffing, and program effectiveness
Qualifications:
• Senior leadership experience in early childhood education or a related field
• Experience supporting multi-site programs and leadership teams
• Strong background in hiring, onboarding, and team development
• Demonstrated ability to step into organizations during transition and provide hands on operational support
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and coach leaders effectively
• Knowledge of Washington State early learning systems (preferred)
Additional Information:
This is a temporary role expected to last approximately 3 to 4 months, supporting the organization during a transition period and positioning the team for long term success. Employment is at will and may end earlier or extend based on organizational needs.
