Job Details

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly driven Interim Pharmacist in Charge to join our team. This unique opportunity is perfect for an individual with a strong background in pharmacy management and a passion for leading teams to deliver exceptional patient care. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the pharmacy operations, including staff management, medication safety, and regulatory compliance. This is a temporary position, offering a challenging and rewarding role for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

As an Interim Pharmacist in Charge, you will:

1. Oversee all pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
2. Supervise and mentor pharmacy staff, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and outcomes.
4. Implement and manage medication safety programs, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
5. Monitor and analyze pharmacy performance metrics, developing strategies for improvement where necessary.
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest scientific research, integrating new knowledge into pharmacy practice.
7. Manage inventory, ensuring the efficient use of resources and the availability of necessary medications.
8. Handle any pharmacy-related complaints or issues, resolving them in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:

To be considered for the Interim Pharmacist in Charge position, candidates must possess the following:

1. A Doctor of Pharmacy degree or equivalent.
2. A current and valid pharmacist license in Missouri.
3. A Medication Therapy Services Certification
4. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a pharmacy leadership role.
5. Proficiency in Meditech or equivalent pharmacy management software.
6. An in-depth understanding of pharmacy operations, regulations, and best practices.
7. Strong leadership and team management skills.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of professionals.
9. The ability to handle high-stress situations with professionalism and composure.
10. A strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
