This position is for school year 2026-2027, and is for one year only.

In order to be considered for this position applicants (internal and external) must submit a cover letter, resume, copy of teaching and administrative certificates, and three letters of reference.

Job Summary: Provides assistance to the building principal in the administration of the total school program.

Retirement: State of Alaska TRS

Bargaining Unit: Fairbanks Principal Association (FPA)

Salary: Determined by the FPA Negotiated Agreement

Contract Length: Minimum of 196 days

Job Qualifications:

• Must hold a valid State of Alaska Initial, Professional, or Master teaching certificate and State of Alaska Type B Administrative certificate prior to employment
• Demonstrated skills in focusing staff and students on academic excellence
• Computer literacy with knowledge of instructional technology
• Demonstrated skills in staff motivation, development, and supervision
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Awareness of positive student discipline procedures and skills in parent relationships and community involvement
