Interim Director of Risk Management Needed in Tuscaloosa, Alabama!

The Position

  • An Interim Director of Risk Management is needed to provide hospital-wide risk management leadership while maintaining day-to-day operations and sharing best practices and recommendations.
  • Reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
  • Key responsibilities include reviewing daily risk events and notifications, facilitating conversations with patients and families, collaborating closely with nursing and department leaders, preserving relevant data, obtaining statements, and providing risk management recommendations and best practices to organizational leadership.
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical and risk management background with the ability to build relationships across departments, communicate effectively with patients and families, and work collaboratively with organizational leaders.
  • Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

  • BSN required.
  • Active Alabama RN license required.
  • Previous healthcare risk management leadership experience and a strong clinical background required.

Pay Details

  • Pay Range: $165,000 - $175,000 annually.
  • The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
  • The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
