Interim Director of Quality Needed in Cody, Wyoming!

The Position

  • An Interim Director of Quality is needed to lead the day-to-day operations of Quality, Infection Prevention, and Risk Management for a critical access hospital.
  • Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this leader will oversee three direct reports.
  • Key responsibilities include serving as a trusted resource to department leaders and hospital staff on quality and performance improvement initiatives, providing oversight of Quality, Infection Prevention, and Risk Management operations, ensuring the effective management of the organization's event reporting (YES Reports) process, strengthening and streamlining quality reporting efforts, collaborating with quality-related committees, and coaching and supporting department staff.
  • The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and approachable leader with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships across all levels of the organization. They will excel at coaching and mentoring staff, fostering accountability, and serving as a trusted resource for leaders and frontline teams. The successful candidate must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs. Excellent communication skills will be critical.
  • Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
  • Registered Nurse license strongly preferred, but not required.
  • Experience leading hospital Quality, Performance Improvement, and Risk Management programs required. Experience in a critical access hospital and Infection Prevention is preferred.

Compensation Details

  • Compensation Range: $150,000 to $160,000 annually.
  • The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation. Additionally, some candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, depending on the specific role, including but not limited to health insurance coverage and retirement benefits.
  • The listed base compensation range represents a good faith estimate of potential earnings at the time of this job posting and may be subject to future adjustments.
