About the Role
The Company is in need of an Interim Assistant General Counsel for a 4-month+ period, with the potential for a permanent role. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level legal support to the Chief Legal Officer in the areas of corporate governance, board administration, entity management, and strategic transactional work. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong background in compliance programs, governance, and board management, preferably within the AEC industry. The Interim AGC will also be involved in cross-functional collaboration with various teams, including compliance, clients, boards, finance, and legal.Applicants must have a JD from an accredited university, be active and in good standing to practice law in the U.S., and have at least 5-7 years of in-house legal experience. The role involves direct support to the CLO, including serving as a primary legal resource, conducting research, and managing a diverse portfolio of corporate legal responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated expertise in the AEC industry and be comfortable with the fast-paced environment of a rapidly growing business. Responsibilities also include compliance program development and management, entity management, and providing commercial and internal policy support. The Interim AGC will be expected to ensure that governance practices align with best-in-class standards and to be a resource for business teams on compliance requirements and best practices.
