Our client is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join their team on an interim basis to support a growing organization during a period of transition. This role will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, managing the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting the broader finance team as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Manage the month-end close processes
• Review and approve account reconciliations, accruals, and adjusting journal entries
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and variance reports
• Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting as needed
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide support for external auditors
• Monitor cash flow activity and assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Identify process improvement opportunities and help implement more efficient accounting procedures
• Partner with leadership and cross-functional teams to provide financial insight and reporting
• Support special projects, system implementations, clean-up work, or process documentation efforts as needed
• Help mentor and guide accounting staff during the engagement

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience in a leadership or supervisory role
• Prior experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, Controller, or Senior Accountant strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger accounting
• Experience overseeing A/P, A/R, payroll, reconciliations, and cash management
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working within ERP systems
• Ability to adapt quickly, prioritize multiple tasks, and work independently
• Strong communication skills and ability to partner with multiple department
