The Supplier Development Engineer manages supplier relationships to ensure high-quality, timely, and cost-effective product delivery, supporting customer needs and competitive advantage.
- Partner with quality and suppliers to address rejects and resolve performance issues
- Develop improvement plans, lead workshops, and investigate major problems to enhance supplier quality, delivery, and cost
- Analyze metrics, oversee production approval processes, and review manufacturing processes for quality and efficiency
- Collaborate with procurement for strategic sourcing and recommend technical improvements to reduce risks
- Perform supplier assessments and lead design for manufacturability efforts
- Preferred expertise includes electronic/RF/high-speed cable assemblies and connectors
Requirements: Bachelor's in engineering with 6+ years experience, including 3+ in cable/harness assembly or similar; certifications and specific technical knowledge are advantageous.
