Master's Degree (required) in a field such as Clinical Psychology, Clinical Social Work, Counseling Psychology, or equivalent. Doctoral Degree accepted in a field such as Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or equivalent. Degree must be from an accredited, resident-based, non-distance learning program.

Person must be eligible at time of hire for Alaska State Licensure in the employee's professional discipline. Preferred Alaska State Licensed, issued by the Board of Psychology or may be license eligible within 6 months. Knowledge of federal confidentiality regulations and requirements.

Tele-behavioral health experience preferred. Must have knowledge and ability to interact with cross-cultural clients and ability to work effectively with different cultures. Ability to prepare and present effective oral and written reports in required format. Willing to take training and attend workshops periodically to enhance job performance and knowledge. Must be willing to travel.

A valid Alaska Drivers License preferred. Native preference will be given depending on experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Providing comprehensive substance use assessment
  • Outpatient psychological services
  • Intensive Outreach Program (IOP) group administration and facilitation
  • Services may be provided in-person, or via tele-behavioral health
  • Assist with quality assurance, clinical records management, case management, and behavioral health outreach to the Aleutian and Pribilof communities as needed

Adherence to State of Alaska Regulations, Joint Commission on Accreditation standards, CMS (Medicaid), and private insurance guidelines.

Work Arrangements:

  • Partial tele-work may be required
  • This position requires travel one week out of each quarter to an APIA village.
