Pathways to Life, Inc. has provided community-based behavioral health services since 2006. Our teams support youth and families across North Carolina through Intensive In-Home, outpatient, and crisis-focused services designed to keep children safely connected to their homes, schools, and communities.
We are hiring a licensed Intensive In-Home (IIH) Team Leader to supervise clinicians serving children and adolescents with severe emotional and behavioral needs.
This role combines clinical leadership, direct therapy, crisis response, and staff supervision. You will guide a multidisciplinary team while maintaining compliance with North Carolina Clinical Coverage Policy 8A.
What You’ll Do
Supervise Qualified Professionals and Associate Professionals providing community-based mental health services.
Review clinical documentation, service plans, and treatment progress.
Provide coaching, case consultation, and field support during high-risk situations.
Support staff development through training, feedback, and performance monitoring.
Provide assessments, treatment planning, family therapy, and crisis intervention services.
Maintain a small caseload while supporting complex family systems.
Respond to behavioral health crises in homes, schools, and community settings.
Coordinate care with schools, DSS, juvenile justice, hospitals, and community providers.
Ensure services meet Medicaid and Clinical Coverage Policy 8A requirements.
Monitor authorizations, service delivery hours, and treatment outcomes.
Complete documentation within agency and state timelines.
Participate in on-call crisis rotation and team scheduling.
Master’s degree in Human Services, Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related clinical field.
North Carolina full or provisional licensure.
1+ year of experience providing Intensive In-Home or community-based behavioral health services.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when needed.

This position includes regular local travel and exposure to high-stress crisis situations. Physical requirements include standing, walking, bending, driving, and lifting up to 25 lbs.
