OverviewBase pay range $100,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yrLocation: Chicago, ILWork Arrangement: HybridA leading law firm in Chicago is seeking an experienced Patent Prosecution IP Paralegal to join its Intellectual Property practice. This hybrid role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with a dynamic team supporting domestic and international patent prosecution matters.ResponsibilitiesPrepare and file U.S. and PCT patent applications, responses, and formal documents with the USPTO and international patent officesManage patent portfolios, including docketing deadlines and tracking filings across jurisdictionsCoordinate with attorneys, clients, and foreign associates to ensure timely and accurate filingsReview and analyze patent office communications and assist with drafting responsesMaintain organized case files and ensure compliance with firm and client proceduresConduct research and compile information related to patent prosecution and IP strategyAssist with billing and time entry related to IP mattersQualificationsMinimum of 2 years' experience in patent prosecution, preferably in a law firm settingStrong knowledge of USPTO procedures and international patent filing requirementsProficiency in IP docketing systems and Microsoft Office SuiteExcellent attention to detail and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communication abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesParalegal certificate or equivalent education preferredAdditional Information / BenefitsPersonal Time Off (PTO) is offered on an accrual basis up to 184 hours a year, 13 Paid Holidays, and up to 6 weeks of Paid Parental Leave.
