PGS Worldwide is seeking an Integration and Test Software Engineer in Linthicum, MD for a contract role supporting Northrop Grumman.

The Integration and Test Software Engineer will design, develop, integrate, and test software used to manage test equipment and execute verification testing for space payload systems. This onsite role requires Python development experience, embedded real-time software experience, software integration and test experience, automated testing experience, and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI access.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or another STEM discipline with 8+ years of software development experience on embedded real-time systems; master’s degree with 6+ years; or PhD with 3+ years.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI access.
  • Python software development experience.
  • Embedded software programming experience.
  • Integration and test experience.
  • Automated testing experience.
  • Ability to debug original code and trace existing code.
  • Experience integrating software applications and using tools or logs to verify correct operation.
  • Experience developing in a Linux and/or Windows environment.
  • Experience testing and debugging software systems.
  • Experience using software configuration management tools.
  • Ability to work onsite in Linthicum, MD.
  • Strong self-direction, teamwork, and communication skills.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, operate, and maintain integration and test software.
  • Develop software that manages test equipment and executes tests for space payload units.
  • Support verification of space system requirements using automated testing tools.
  • Work through the full software development lifecycle, including design, development, integration, and test.
  • Develop primarily in Python, TCL, and C++.
  • Use Jenkins, Robot Framework, and related tools to support automated testing and verification.
  • Integrate software applications and analyze logs or data to verify system operation.
  • Participate in Agile development, cross-functional scrum teams, design reviews, and peer reviews.
  • Review software products, software designs, and technical documentation.
  • Prioritize assigned work and provide recommendations to technical leads.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • Monday–Friday, 5x8 schedule.
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Onsite role.

Pay

  • $61.57/hour
