Job Summary The Integrated Business Planning Lead (S&OE Workstream) owns the end-to-end IBP process and governance framework that aligns planning and execution across Ashleys vertically integrated value chain, including Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Distribution, Wholesale, Retail, and E-commerce operations. This role is accountable for ensuring that planning processes integrate demand signals, supply capabilities, inventory positioning, and financial implications across all channels and internal manufacturing operations.
You will not own commercial or operational performance; instead, you ensure leaders across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Distribution, Wholesale, Retail, and E-commerce operate from a single, aligned, decision-ready plan that enables effective trade-off decisions at the enterprise level while delivering exceptional customer service.
Two IBP Leads fill complementary roles:
IBP Lead - Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP): Mid- to long-range planning and alignment (3-24 months) IBP Lead - Sales and Operations Execution (S&OE): Near-term execution alignment and exception governance (0-13 weeks)
Core Responsibilities
IBP Process & Governance Ownership (Enterprise-Wide) Own and operate the Integrated Business Planning operating model across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Warehousing, Distribution, Wholesale, Retail, and E-commerce
Define and maintain S&OP monthly planning cadence (3-24 months) and S&OE weekly execution cadence (0-13 weeks)
Ensure standardized planning inputs, outputs, timelines, governance forums, escalation paths, and decision rights
Maintain decision logs, assumptions, and action tracking
Note: Functional leaders retain accountability for business outcomes; this role ensures decision-quality planning.
End-to-End Planning Integration Across Verticals and Channels Integrate demand, supply, inventory, capacity, and financial views across manufacturing and all channels
Align upstream manufacturing plans with downstream Wholesale, Retail, and E-commerce demand
Evaluate decision trade-offs, implications, risks, and benefits across channels
Decision Readiness & Scenario Facilitation Translate inputs into gaps, constraints, risks, and scenario-based options with quantified impacts
Facilitate fact-based enterprise decision discussions with cross-functional leaders
Frame trade-offs clearly to enable executive-level alignment and accountability
S&OP Workstream Ownership (Mid-/Long-Range Planning) Own the monthly S&OP process across all channels and ensure approved plans cascade into execution
Collaborate with S&OE workstream to anticipate and incorporate dependencies and impacts
Drive alignment on mid- to long-range planning assumptions and constraints
S&OE Workstream Ownership (Near-Term Execution Alignment) Own the weekly S&OE process to align manufacturing, wholesale, retail, and e-commerce execution
Collaborate with S&OP workstream to anticipate and incorporate dependencies and impacts
Manage near-term execution exceptions, escalations, and real-time trade-off decisions
Ensure execution plans remain aligned with strategic S&OP commitments
Process Performance Management & Continuous Improvement Define IBP process KPIs covering both operational (supply planning, manufacturing, distribution, inventory) and financial (revenue, margin, working capital, budget reconciliation) metrics
Lead retrospectives and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Partner with IT and Analytics teams to assess and maintain KPI integrity through data and calculation governance
Planning Tools, Data & Enablement Partner with IT and Analytics to ensure tools support integrated enterprise planning
Extract, manipulate, and display data using SQL, Excel, and Power BI
Develop dashboards and reporting to provide transparency across the planning process

Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree required (Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field)
Experience: 6-10 years of IBP, S&OP, or S&OE experience in multi-channel environments
Experience in manufacturing and/or retail operations
Proven track record facilitating cross-functional planning processes at enterprise scale
Experience operating in vertically integrated, omni-channel environments preferred
Required Skills
Strong facilitation skills - Ability to lead executive-level planning forums and drive alignment
Project management - Manage complex processes with multiple stakeholders and dependencies
Analytical rigor - Extract insights from data, build scenarios, quantify impacts
Executive communication - Translate complex planning concepts into clear, decision-ready recommendations
Manufacturing and/or Retail acumen - Understanding of operational constraints and trade-offs

Technical Skills
Proficiency with SQL, Excel, and Power BI to extract, manipulate, and display data
Experience with IBP platforms (e.g., SAP IBP, Kinaxis, o9, Blue Yonder) preferred
Comfort working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
APICS / ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP, or similar)
Experience with IBP software platforms
Background in vertically integrated, omni-channel operations
Advanced technical skills (SQL, Power BI, data visualization)
