Every Other Weekend Saturday and Sunday 9am-5:30pm
The Intake Mental Health Counselor, under the supervision of the Director of Intake and the Chief Intake Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe therapeutic milieu in the Intake department and also in inpatient psychiatric units as needed after all admissions have arrived. The role involves conducting safety checks, patient monitoring, de-escalating acute situations, and providing supportive interactions with patients. Other duties the Intake MHC is responsible for is taking the patient photo in the Electronic Medical Record, printing check sheets, and assisting intake coordinators with answering phones.
Successful candidates will have:
High school diploma; bachelor's degree in Mental Health, Human Services or related field preferred. Previous PCT/PCA experience applicable.
Sufficient typing and computer skills to facilitate use of Electronic Health Record required; experience with Electronic Health Record, including Medsphere/Vista preferred.
Effective oral and written communication skills; ability to develop a therapeutic relationship while maintaining professional boundaries.
Previous experience in psychiatric or substance inpatient, restraint reduction de-escalation, and crisis intervention is preferred.

Compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience.
$20.11 - $24.00
