- Be responsible for screening incoming calls from various entities including but not limited to the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P), law enforcement, hospital emergency rooms, school personnel and community providers and partners. Screen calls for details such as demographics, allegations of child maltreatment, abuse, law enforcement involvement, and CPC service requests.
- In coordination with CPC manager, assist in determining the appropriate medical and/or mental health service provision. Schedule appointments with the referring DCP&P team.
- Gather clinical and investigative documentation related to reason for referral, including SARs, and coordinates files to be presented to CPC providers. Coordinates with all involved parties to ensure completeness of files based on established intake protocols.
- Confirm appointments with legal guardian(s) and facilitates responses to questions related to the CPC visit encounter.
- Provide direct oversight and day-to-day guidance to CPC Intake Assistants. Support staff development through coaching and ongoing performance feedback. Review and approve time-off requests for Intake Assistants. Ensure adequate staffing coverage at all times to maintain uninterrupted intake operations. Adjust schedules as needed to address staffing needs.
